Here is our second batch of 6 different designs of akaihana original Tenugui! They are carefully screenprinted by Tenugui special artisans at Tenugui Kobo in Takamatsu Kagawa, Japan. Since our first red dahlia is sold out, we made another dahlia Tenugui with more details. The color is bright pink with more toward red, it was really really hard to pick the right color, but we are really happy about the result!  

This is very high quality tenugui, the fabric is super soft Japanese 100% cotton, and design is done by us. Then artisans from Tenugui studio in Takamatsu, Kagawa Japan mix the colors and dye all by hands. 

Tenugui is 100% cotton multipurpose materials, people in Japan use Tenugui as a hand towel, dish towel, handkerchief, wrapping, or materials for sewing and crafting. Whatever however you want, it's up to you! It has selvages on both sides, and both ends of Tenugui are not finished. The hems are left unfinished because it dries faster since the water doesn't collect on a hem after washing. It will fray for a while, you can cut the string that came off, and eventually it should stop fraying maybe up to 1/4 - 1/3 inches or so.

Care: washer machine (cold/cool water is the best because of hand dyed), Air dry please, and iron medium/high if you desire. :-) This is real hand dyed fabric, it might discolor for the first few times of laundry, so please be careful about what to wash with.
